Soak

My daughter, I’m well pleased with you -you are mine!

Dad, I love you. Thank you for drawing near to me. Right before I awoke today I heard the words, “You can tell him at Christmas.” I’m not exactly sure what this means but I trust in you to let me know as we journey together.

I will.

Father, there’s silence again. Help me to rest so you can draw me near to you again.

My faithful one, all is well.

Eeek Father, I’ve begun to get anxious again and I repent! I’m sorry and I put my faith and trust in you again! I say no to anxiety in Jesus name and I don’t agree with it. I look for truth in you my Father. I can’t believe how sneaky that was. Thanks for shining your light into how I was beginning to think. You are my Shepherd Jesus and I follow you more closely.

Father, as I was praying in the Spirit, the word “fast” came to mind. Fasting is so difficult for me. I know that I can’t procrastinate about becoming disciplined in it, and I need your help.

I will help you my daughter. Soak in me as you fast, not doing anything else.

Father, there’s aways so much for me to do that I know I’ll have a hard time putting all that down.

I know. As you rest in me, you’re actually accomplishing a lot. Trust me -I will be near to you and give you rest.

I need that Father, thank you. Please do your work in me so that I’ll be able to be more effective in the work you’ve called me to do.
