I love you Lord. I’m so desperate for you; I’m holding onto you so tightly. Help me be at rest.
Reflection:
Where has the day gone? I had the most fun today being part of our church easter play. In one of the dreams I had last night I was on the ground, I think sitting, in a dense forest. I looked up and I saw a hydro line at its normal height, and after a little while I watched a squirrel run along it. This is really vague but I think all along the hydro line were small black paper type clippings (the size of a hand) maybe triangular in shape with the point facing up, each about a few feet apart. Then I saw another hydro line really really high up (in waking life it would be about the height of 3 full-grown Pine trees high). There was an older child (about 8-10 years old) walking slowly and comfortably along it and a really big golden brown Lion with a really big mane walking behind him; they were walking and talking comfortably like they were walking on a sidewalk. I noticed the child was looking down, deep in thought as they were talking. The meaning for this I believe is that Jesus is close to me as we’re walking a difficult but close-to-God way, yet I’m trusting in him so much that there’s no fear of falling.. Jesus is walking behind me to catch me if I should fall back. When I picture this, I long to be there because I miss him so much. I wish I could experience this in my dream and not see it from a distance. As I watched, it was a really peaceful scene like walking along a path in the woods, hearing the birds in the trees and the gentle breeze in the leaves -comforting.
Another scene where someone was looking for a rock to put in someone’s mouth. The first rock I thought was a bit too sharp along the edges so I was looking for one with smoother edges. Then this person, and I didn’t have a sense as to who it was, had another one in his hand that they were going to put in the persons mouth. It was a small rock but big if you’d imagine it filling someone’s whole mouth, stretching both of the insides of their cheek. I believe this dream represents that the Lord wants me to speak again because the first one was “rough around the edges,” and the next one will go a lot more smoothly. Okay, I guess this is my new reality… I wonder if this would be a continuation for the younger group again at youth or hopefully for the older youth with a bit more time to include a bit more?
Then another dream where I had just come out of a one story building and walked towards the parking lot; then walked around in a loop on the grass in front of the parking lot. When I had walked the loop, intending to walk straight back into the building is when the dream ended. I sensed someone walking towards me from the parking lot when I had made the loop. The sense I had as I made the loop is that instead of actually leaving with the car to do something, I walked around in a loop instead because it was quicker. I’m thinking the building could represent speaking, so when I was done I walked towards the parking lot expecting to rest from speaking for a bit. But then I just walked around in one loop before beginning to walk back to the building. I think there won’t really be a waiting period before heading into speaking again? I’m not sure if this is what it represents, but if I’m not working tomorrow this is what I’ll be working on. My left ankle is still not feeling right and we’re doing front and back squats at the gym tomorrow morning, so I’ll see how it goes. Blessings, have a wonderful week!
