Gods Reassurance

My Father, I love you. Thank-you for reassuring me last night at that exact time again,  and assuring me through song that what you’ve said in the past hasn’t changed. After all this time, your assurance has settled in my heart, and I know I’m being cared for by you.

My daughter, you’re okay. Rest assured. You are in the palm of my hands and I’m taking good care of you.

My Father, walking by faith has been extremely difficult because it has everything to do with what I’ve desired most, and because of the length of time you’ve required. This length of time has given a lot of opportunity for doubt about hearing correctly. The good thing about doubt I’ve found is that it’s always made me stronger afterward, and more sure of what I hope for, which then has also given me more time to grow in your strength. I’ve also learned that I cannot live without your peace; I need your peace to be bound in my heart always so that doubt cannot steal it away again.

My faithful one, come into my embrace and rest.

Father, I’m recognizing that when there’s silence between us is when you’re drawing me close. I’ve been afraid of silence, not realizing that it’s actually a time of nearness and trust. I rest in you about the longing you’ve placed in my heart, knowing that connections are made through you and in your time. Help me go beyond always needing reassurance and enjoy what you’ve called me to do. Help me rest in my faith-walk because I know that I’m secure in you.

I will help you Caroline -you are mine, always.
