Once in a Lifetime!

My Father, here is my heart. Being in love with you, I’m giving you all of who I am again. Just like you designed the Israelites to eat fresh manna everyday, I come to you everyday to eat from you -you are my manna every morning and I also give you my heart this morning again. Come and renew my strength as I wait for you.

Come, my faithful daughter, you are mine.

Father, if there’s a word you have for me today, what would that be?

That I love you, I hear you, and that I have great plans for you. Don’t give up. Walk in what you know to do and I will continue to lead you in the way you should go. Trust me always.

Father, today the battle to go against the flow of the norm is extra thick. If I don’t record today, then I won’t be recording this week. Help me know what to talk about today.

I will help you Caroline. Lean into me and I will show you. You are mine and are not alone.

I trust you Father -thank you Holy Spirit for living inside my heart. I need you and I’m depending on you.

I love you Caroline, come, we’ll do this together.

I’m yours Holy Spirit, please work in my heart so I know what to say today. I love you too.

Reflection:

This prayer time was two days ago, on Thursday before I did my recording. I have this picture in my mind which I know is true, that if I don’t keep walking the difficult walk of going against my flesh, I know my heart will grow cold and the enemy will have his way and bring me somewhere I don’t want to go. Jesus did a difficult thing when he gave his life for me, so I will continue to do this difficult thing, recording, and keep carrying the cross he gave me to carry. In this difficult thing is a full load of joy that comes with doing what is right, and I want to please my Dad because I love him -I want to make him smile:)

The night before I recorded, God gave me a dream where I was in a youth van taking a group of youth somewhere. In my dream I had a knowing that there were only about 46 or 48 “youth for christ” in the towns surrounding Winnipeg. This makes me wonder if only about that number of kids that come to youth in southern MB have a genuine heart for the Lord and the others only come to socialize? This would be natural because they’re kids, but maybe it doesn’t need to be this way? We all learn what we’re being taught, so maybe they can be led to grow more passionate for the Lord. Or is God showing me something about myself, or both?

Earlier this week the Lord gave me a dream where I was watching two people on some kind of platform. They were both near the center, but one was on one side of the stage and the other was on the other side. Then I saw vaguely an arm and a hand between them, holding a silver key which I saw clearly. It reminded me of our house key. The hand was holding the key in his two fingers, giving the key, and the person on the right side of the stage quickly took it while the other person waited shyly on the other side. In my dream I knew how valuable this key was because being given this key only happened once in a lifetime.

This reminds me that when we walk intimately with our Father, he gives rewards that have such deep value. Jesus waited for God’s timing too when he was tempted by the enemy before he began his ministry. When we wait for the Lord on things, what he gives satisfies inside the deepest part of who we are. I think this is the only way to truly live….to live Gods way, living life on purpose!!!!
