Psalm 23:5,6, “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
Psalm 24:3-7, “Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false. 5) He will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God his Savior. Such is the generation for those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob. 7) Lift up your heads, O you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.”
My Father, I keep hearing in my heart, “Declare a Holy fast.” Father, so I do declare it and I will fast for you. Even though I don’t eat a lot, fasting is really difficult for me to do. Help me Father and direct me to know when and for how long. As I’m searching my heart to hear your voice, I’m sensing for 3 days, today until Monday evening at sun-down, then I can break the fast together with you..
My daughter, this is right. Come and I will provide the way for you to go. All is well with you. Seek me with all your heart; those who seek me with all their heart will be found by me.
My Father, I do seek you with all my heart. Search my heart and make my heart pure before you. Teach me Your ways oh Lord, and continue to lead me on your path.
Come my faithful one -you are Mine this day.
Reflection:
Psalm 25: 12-14, “Who, then, is the man that fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way chosen for him. He will spend his days in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land. The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them.” In my daily Bible study, I’m at John 12:15, Jesus’ triumphal entry -this is a time of rejoicing!
Zechariah 9:9-12, “Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. 10) I will take away the chariots from Ephraim and the war-horses from Jerusalem, and the battle bow will be broken. He will proclaim peace to the nations. His rule will extend from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth. 11) As for you, because of the blood of my covenant with you, I will free your prisoners from the waterless pit. 12) Return to your fortress, O prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.”
The Lord has asked me to fast for three days, oh my.. I’ve not fasted for three days in such a long time; I was planning to make cinnamon buns today and I still will.. will break the fast with a cinnamon bun! When I’ve fasted before doing my recordings, I’ve always still had my coffee, so unless I’m sensing otherwise, I’m planning on making my daily cappuccino… I’m in!! Diving deep into the water!!
