Father, you are my living hope. The closer I come to you, the more I desire to step into the next time-frame of my life. Because I know a little of where you’re leading me, I miss not being there so very much. But because this suffering is growing a deep passion within me, I can keep going. Everything I do is for you because of my love for you. So help me be patient; help me love you through being patient. I can only imagine….

Reflection:
I never imagined that walking in my calling would cause me to suffer in the way that I have. I know theres a purpose for suffering.. it’s like suffering is how we grow in being more like Jesus the most. There’s a suffering, and there’s a sweet suffering -I have both. Suffering comes when we know without a doubt the Lords leading, but when we follow him, arrows get shot our way because of not having an understanding of the ways of the Lord. Sweet suffering is knowing and growing in where the Lord is leading because of how he prepares our heart for it, but not actually being able to step into it because it’s the Lords timing and not ours. It’s knowing about a gift but not being able to have it, and needing to wait years before we can claim it as our own. What God has called us to do is what our heart longs to do because it gives us deep fulfillment.
I think that when people are going through difficulty, it’s so important to draw close to Jesus because it’s through him that we can have hope and know his love, which is how the Lord helps us in our difficulty. There are so many ways Jesus shows us his love, and some of the ways he’s shown his love to me is through his patience, his acts of kindness, and his faithfulness.. Jesus suffered more than we ever will, and we need to be more like him in this way; by abandoning ourselves to him so that our life becomes his and not our own. The world is waiting for us to walk in our purpose so that we can show them God’s love in the unique way the Lord has designed us to do; even though they don’t know it, it’s exactly what they need! So often we as christians need to wait longer than we want as we wait for God’s timing, but God knows why; we need to trust and love him through it. And that’s all I have to say about that!!😭🌺
