With my Dad

My Father, I need to soak in your presence. I need you to massage my heart to make it more pliable so that I’ll be more able to receive your presence, your words and your love for me. Even though I wasn’t aware Father, you’ve been kept at a distance because my heart hasn’t been as pliable as it should have been. Please forgive me.

I do forgive you my child. Come, let’s walk deeper in.

Father, I know with deeper understanding that you also mean my heart,  not only yours.

My faithful one, there is so much more to who you are than you know, and as we walk deeper in, I will lead you to them and together we will uncover them. This is our journey.

My Dad, I believe what you’re telling me is that as we uncover, little by little, who you’ve made me to be, these things about myself will help me do what you ask me to do, and I’ll do these things in the uniqueness of my temperament. They’ll have my fingerprint on them and all these things will point back to you because you’re my Father.

Caroline, you are mine. I have much joy in walking this journey with you because I love you.

My Father, please fill me. Thank-you for being so near to me. I can feel your calmness in my heart. Thank-you for the work that you’ve done and are going to do in me. I know you’re making me whole. You’re planting my feet more firmly on solid ground.

Come my faithful one; you are mine -you belong to me.

My Dad, this is where I always want to be -this is my true home -at home with my Dad!
