My Father. You are Holy and I love you!
My daughter, I’m making you holy to become my spotless bride. I love you and you are mine.
Holy Spirit show me my heart. Show me what I need to see that I need to repent of and change the way I think. Show me my heart because I want to be changed to become more like you.
Caroline, I am near to you, rest. I love you. I will shine my light in your heart and make known to you what I see.
Father, my spirit is willing but my flesh is weak. In this weakness my flesh steps back and resists what you want to accomplish in me. I pray that you will help me when this happens -I cannot pretend that I’m exempt from this.
My daughter, I will lead you in the way you should go, and together we’ll face what needs our attention.
Holy Spirit, I love this plan. Thank-you for being so near to me.
You’re welcome my child.
Thoughts:
God gave me a vision one day about five or six years ago, and in this vision God the Father was walking me down the aisle, and Jesus as the great big Lion, or Aslan as I like to say, was walking steadily ahead of us, setting the pace. Before he started leading me down the aisle I had the opportunity to gaze into his passionate eyes and experience his great love for me. As we were walking down the aisle, it felt like I was the bride with my Father at my side. Jesus was walking ahead of us, making a way where there was no way. Right before my vision ended, we walked through an archway and into a time of celebration.
This is the picture of God preparing us as the bride of Christ as we walk down the aisle of our life here on the earth. God wants to change us to become holy and spotless, so he can present us, his bride to his Son when we can finally see him face to face before the wedding feast begins. Our life here is the preparation for the wedding and the wedding feast. Our life here is the time for building a strong and passionate love relationship. We need to get to know Jesus and he needs to get to know us on a personal level, because he’s going to be our husband!!
The greatest love stories are ones with great passion, not lust, but have a genuine and deep love for one another. All fathers and mothers want their sons and daughters to marry someone who they’re compatible with and that have a deep selfless love relationship, and God is no different. He’s the greatest Father there will ever be, and he wants a bride that is truly and deeply in love with his Son. We in ourselves can never be compatible with Jesus because he’s God the Son and he’s perfect, but we can put off the worldly ways of thinking and allow the Holy Spirit to change us to become more like Jesus, making our heart spotless as we put on the mind of Christ and follow him into our calling.
I believe the way we make ourselves ready to be presented before the Lord as his bride is to humble ourselves and come before him everyday, and ask him to show us our heart, being willing to be changed by him every day. The more time we spend with him, the more deeply in love we will be with him and him us. He already knows and loves us completely, but as we spend quality time with him by giving up time for him every day, a more personal relationship begins to grow. It’s this personal relationship that has the potential to grow into a passionate one -this is what God wants for us as his children, and this is what he wants for his Son, so let’s get ready!!
