The Bigger Picture

Caroline, draw near to me and I will be near to you.

Father, on this very long road I’m reminded that I need to remember my calling and to remember the bigger picture. Remembering these two things brings me back into having the right perspective and having a thankful heart. When I think about this, I can’t help but be thankful and amazed at how you’re at work in my life. Thank-you Dad for choosing me and for drawing me near to you.

My faithful daughter, come, you are mine and I love you.

Father, Holy Spirit, please come and fill me with your presence -I need you so desperately! I’m resting in you.

Come into my rest Caroline. Anxious.

Dad, I’m fighting it. I feel anxious because of work or the lack thereof. It’s terribly difficult to pursue something I want to run away from because I know it’s not my calling.

I will provide a way for you my loved one. Trust me with this -you are mine.

Okay

Reflection:

Being in the place of wanting to run away from something that God has not called me to do is good, but sometimes I think we need to not only endure situations but learn to do them well until God calls us completely out of it, and this is hard work! Knowing the bigger picture and remembering it everyday brings thankfulness into my heart, and in this way I can be thankful in every situation. Being thankful drives away the spirit of impatience which is extremely self-centred, because thankfulness draws patience. Being thankful also helps me to focus on my calling and what the Lord has asked me to do in the smaller scale. This is my heart today as I prepare for my next recording….❤️
